Identified ways to engage children from the local community with the Shell plant in Pernis. Established the Kids Community Advisory Panel in collaboration with a local NGO partner, De Kleine Ambassade. Enabling children to learn more about the company’s operations on an excursion to Shell Pernis and in themed lessons at schools and onsite, where they learn about refinery processes, safety and working with technology. Additionally, they are asked to advise the site on specific issues. The children’s positive experiences create a ripple effect among classmates, teachers and parents
