Shell Pernis has a strong presence and is located in a densely populated area, with 450,000 direct ‘neighbours’. Transparency and contact with the neighbours is important. That’s why a Community Advisory Panel was set up, consisting of an independent chairman and representatives of the surrounding municipalities, Shell Pernis and the environmental services. The panel comes together for open debate four times a year
